Delete your account

In the app

1. Open Qwestions and go to Profile.
2. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Deletion takes effect immediately: you are signed out on every device and the account cannot be used again. Signing in with the same Apple ID or Google account later creates a new, empty account. An account that signed in with Google is also disconnected from that Google account.

Without the app

Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account". Send it from the email address linked to your Apple ID or Google account, or include your Qwestions username. We may ask a question to confirm the account is yours, and we complete the deletion within one month.

A guest account exists only on the device it was created on. If you have deleted the app, we can find a guest account only if you tell us its username.

What is deleted

• Your email address, your Apple or Google sign-in identifier, your username, display name and avatar.
• Your birth year.
• Your push token, so the device receives no further notifications from us.
• The team names you entered in games you hosted.
• The record of which questions you have been shown.

Your Sparks, lives, experience points and streak end with the account. They cannot be restored, transferred or refunded.

What is kept, and for how long

What remains is tied to an anonymous record that has no name, email or sign-in identifier.

• Purchase records (the product, the date and the store's transaction record): for six years, because tax and accounting law requires it and because a store can report a refund after an account is gone.
• Anonymous game history (scores, answers and the Sparks history of the games you played): kept to keep our records consistent. None of it identifies you.
• Backups of the database: overwritten within 7 days.
